Like so many people, by the first quarter of 2025, I experienced what I consider to be more than my fair share of pain and loss on a deeply personal level.

As hard as it sometimes was in that season, instead of letting go or running away from God, I held on and turned to Him for help and healing. He, in turn, held me up and showed Himself through the fellowship, prayers and love of the people He placed in my life. This was invaluable in lifting me, particularly in those times when I didn't feel like I had the strength to keep moving. This had a tremendous impact on who I was as a mother, as a wife, as a woman.

A time of reflection led me to the recognition that as much as everyone, at one time or another, will experience pain, not everyone experiences love. Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came so that we could live life to the full. How can we do that without knowing or giving love?

I grew up not fully knowing that I was worth it, I believed a lie and couldn't see that I was living in rejection. Deep down, I had wanted to be loved for so long until a number of years ago, when the Lord did a sovereign work in my life.

Looking back at what 2025 was throwing in my direction and seeing similar patterns in the lives of other women, it wasn't long before I felt the call of God to host an event where women could come together to be supported and uplifted in an atmosphere fostering the love of God.
